Publish the Agent Update Through an Automatic Policy

Prerequisites

You must follow the guide "Create an Agent Update task" first, before followinf the instructions below

1st step : Go the the Automatic Policy menu 

  • Click on the Automatic Policy icon in the blue bar
  • Click on Add a new policy

2nd step : Fill up the Automatic Policy form

  • Choose  inventory data and Provconnect Agent Version
  • Check if the current agent version doesn't match the newest agent version
  • Choose the Agent Update task previously created
  • Set the scope to All Groups so all devices can be updated
  • click on Save to finalize the Automatic Policy creation

3rd step : Choose to publish at once or not

If you choose yes, the task will be published on all the devices at once. If you choose no, the task will be published at the end of the next devices inventory.



The automatic policy is created and any new devices or devices that has not got the update will get the update automatically !
