General Settings

Temporary folder

Allows you to set a temporary folder name 

External IP Address or DNS Name

Set the current DNS name or Ip address of your server. DNS name is prefered as it's necessary to be used in an https context. It must be set to use the device discovery and the email notification features.

Show hidden tasks

Show the internal tasks played by the server. Don't use it as it may slow down your server.

Show device list examples

Display a set of pre-made devices list layout in the devices list. Recommended.

Pulse settings

In this section, you can set the pulse frequency. you have 2 main options: 

Automatic

• you can set the pulse frequency to Reactive, Standard or Economic

Advanded

•  You can set the frequency manually in second

Note: The ratio of the pulse delay to the number of devices ([Pulse delay in seconds] / [number of devices]) should not exceed 0.15 (Reactive ratio).

Inventory settings

In this section, you will set the way agents refreshes the inventory of the end point.

Automatic Inventory

The agent refresh the inventory at the selected frequency:

Once per hour, per day, per week, per month, per year, or at every start

If you do not set automatic inventory, then the agent will never refresh the inventory. inventory refresh will have to be done manually.

SSL Certificates

this section allows you to visualize the certificates you have loaded on the proVconnect server and vue their expiration date

Authentification

This section allows you to configure the way you log into proVconnect. you have 2 different ways to authenticate into proVconnect

Local authentification

• you will use a predefine user name and password (please see the create users section) 

Active Directory authentification

• you can use your AD authentification to log into proVconnect. for this, you need to set the different details as well as the user profile associated to this authentification.

Note: if you select a user profile which is different from superadmin, then you will be given the list of folder to choose to associate to this profile.
