As there are many remote control solutions, a company's IT department could already uses one.
That's why we added quick links to use some existing solutions, as :

  • TeamViewer
  • UltraVNC
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP)
  • Remote Secure Shell (SSH)

Obviously, we keep our own Secured VNC solution, that we called proViewer.

Prerequisites

As proViewer is fully based on web technologies, you don't need to install any software on your own computer to use it.

The TeamViewer software needs to be installed on your own computer for launching the TeamViewer Client which etablish the connection.

For others solutions - RDP, SSH or VNC - you will need to install the "Wanpulse Client Gateway" on your own computer.

This utility will initiate the good connexion software:

  • For VNC: UltraVNC viewer will be launched and the password will be asked 
  • For RDP: the local "Remote Desktop" application will be launched and the password will be asked
  • For SSH: PuTTY will be launched and the credentials will be asked

In order to use these, the remote computer and your own computer must be in the same local network. Otherwise, only TeamViwer and proViwer can be used.
